Texas born and bred, Faye Chapman Johnston was born in Galveston and raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Her mother and grandmother were chiropractors, strong healers and strong women. Faye never thought of herself as psychic because everyone in her family took psychic abilities for granted. They could all finish each others sentences and could tell when someone was coming or someone was ill. She thought it was normal to be able to see things about other people. It was just an integrated part of who she was.
Faye earned a bachelor’s degree in Math from the University of Texas in Austin and a master’s degree in Special Education from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. She married Bill Johnston and had three children, Audrey, Juliette and Andrew, all of whom are psychic as well. She lived a busy family-oriented life in Arkansas, Arizona and Texas, and she developed skills as teacher, librarian and bench jeweler. Yoga and meditation became an integrated part of this life.
Faye’s psychic abilities took a backseat to family matters until her husband, Bill, had a heart attack and died. Suddenly, her psychic abilities returned, not to be ignored. Not only did she feel Bill’s presence, but she began to see and know things about people.
After she became a licensed massage therapist and Reiki practitioner, Faye began to see visions during her healing sessions. Sometimes her visions were allegorical and sometimes they were straightforward representations of the client’s life situation.
When she found herself unable to practice massage, Faye turned to her psychic abilities, as a vocation. She read for Psychic Friends Network for many years and, at the same time, developed a loyal private clientele. Starting out as a channel, she soon became an accomplished Tarot reader, as well. You can find Faye every year at the Kerrville Folk Festival, where she is known as the Kerrville Folk Psychic. She has been giving readings there for over 10 years. She has predicted love, break-ups, pregnancies, health issues, losing jobs, and getting jobs. Each year, she looks forward to seeing the couples, the lovers, the children, the situations that have been predicted in past years and are manifest in the present. She started out with Psychic Friends Network and American Association of Professional Psychics. For many years, she read for the Heritage Center in Virginia Beach. she now works exclusively for herself.
From her home in San Antonio, TX, she gives readings to individuals, groups and parties. Faye is known for her accuracy, as both channel and Tarot reader. She is a Reiki Master and teaches Reiki I, II and Master classes, and she continues her studies in metaphysics and energy work.
